3. Soda Ash and thermal coal. The relationship between Soda Ash and thermal coal is the relationship between raw materials (energy) and products. The price of thermal coal will affect the cost of Soda Ash, so the change of thermal coal price can be used as a leading indicator to predict the price fluctuation of Soda Ash.

4. Soda Ash and lithium carbonate. Soda Ash is an essential material for lithium carbonate production and is expected to contribute to the new increase in demand. Lithium exists in two forms in nature, one is mainly in the form of lithium ores (including spodumene and lepomica) in rock mines, and the other is stored in the form of lithium ions in salt lake brines. The corresponding extraction methods can be divided into ore lithium extraction and salt lake brine lithium extraction, the production process of both processes need to add excess Soda Ash to remove impurities such as calcium and magnesium salts in the solution, and make the lithium ions in the solution precipitate into lithium carbonate. Regardless of the production method, an average of 2 tons of Soda Ash is consumed for every 1 ton of lithium carbonate.
